Buckhead Pet of the Week: Lucy, the Precious Pekingese
Lucy is up for adoption and is a loving and gentle lap dog.
Michael is a lifelong Georgia resident and has been writing professionally since 2004. In 2010 he began freelancing for both Smyrna/Vinings and Douglasville Patches and is excited for his new opportunity here in Buckhead. Prior to working with Patch, he worked as a writer and Assistant Editor for two Northwest Georgia newspapers. While the written word is one of his passions and was the focus of his degree from the University of West Georgia, Michael has also had the joy of working as a professional musician — both as a songwriter and touring guitar player. He can be found out and about daily in the Buckhead community and is eager to tell the many interesting stories of the people here and report news that is most important to them. He enjoys good conversation, great coffee and music that makes him want to dance — just don't expect him to.
<b>Politics</b>
How would you describe your political beliefs?
I think of myself as a moderate, consider each issue separately and oftentimes find myself understanding why certain decisions are made on each side of the political isle. With my coverage, I intend to be completely fair and objective.
Are you registered with a certain party?
No<br> <br> <b>Religion</b>
How religious would you consider yourself? (casual, observant, devout, non religious)
I am a Christian and have grown up in the church. The core of what makes me a Christian, I believe, is not pushing my beliefs on others but instead extending love, acceptance and forgiveness to those that I encounter each day. Treat others as you wish to be treated.
