ReplyI find it amazing that most of the people I knew who were up in arms and screaming about Reagan's Iran-Contra affair and Nixon's bugging of the democratic party HQ and using the IRS to attack his opponent are not up in arms over these latest allegations. Instead they are burying their heads in the sand cause "their guy" deserves to be given the benefit of the doubt. I find that the hypocritical. I screamed then and I am screaming now, this government has broke more laws than any other I have seen in modern history and full investigations into each and every one is every Americans rights.

ReplyI think they are all great ideas and I would love a license plate or even a shirt. Not sure about the flag, though good idea for businesses in town. I think we may have a winner.

ReplyThis does not give me any form of warm and fuzzy. This is nothing more than to force people to not appeal the ticket. This is wrong on so many fronts it is frightening.

On the article ‘Shameful’ Vote on Gun Control: Do You Agree?
Paul Ray

ReplyI do not think it was shameful vote whatsoever. In fact, I think the ones who voted against the sham bill showed more back bone than the rest of them. This was yet another ill conceived knee jerk reaction vote one riding on the tails of a tragedy fully in the in the Rahm Emanuel book of politics. Even VPOTUS Joe Biden stated openly the law would do nothing to stem another mass murder. This has been a hyped up story the likes I have not seen in a while. The press and this administration are in cahoots so much so that they can whip up a frenzy and get people almost fighting it out in the streets while they use the sleight of hands style politics. The shame falls on all the duped people in this country in allowing this administration to be the more divisive in the history of this great country.

On the article Texting Ban Passes: Will it Make Gulfport Roads Safer?
Paul Ray
6:22 am on Sunday, May 5, 2013
ReplyFrom what I understand, the problem is the way the law is written, it will only have impact if an accident occurs. So it is a band-aide after the fact and not before the fact. I suspect this is another useless law on the books which has no teeth and no impact, so no, it will not make the roads safer one bit

I would think that if the food stuffs prepared by smokers smell of smoke then I think there is a larger issue of cleanliness. Washing ones hands before touching food should never transfer a smell to the item.

I think the key point Carole stated is that she was aware of the policy prior to her employment commencing. That would be akin to moving into a HOA home and knowing the rules, once agreed on then you have no say really.

ReplyInteresting debate. Massachusetts many years ago banned any first responders or corrections employees from smoking and they under go random testing. In addition alcohol use less than 24 hours of their working is not allowed. I thought this was a but invasive but also saw the tax payers monies at stake. So I am curious how other people respond to this thread. And lets refrain from attacks, just give your point of view and why you think it is valid.

Michael D. Where was Bush?
Neither the Bush nor Clinton administrations sought to mischaracterize the attacks on their embassies. Neither of them disseminated weirdly vague stories that was “really” took place was a spontaneous protest over an unseen, stupid video. This is why there is so much more of demand for a full investigation into what has the appearance to be a cover up.
