Patch's Whiz Kid of the Week: Jewely Smith

Patch Whiz Kid of the Week: Jewely Smith, 7 ○ Whiz Kid's School/Church/Community Center: Lee Academy for Gifted Education ○ Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: Jewely volunteers in a student-run school bookstore, with all proceeds going to Big Cat Rescue ○ Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: She's the youngest member of the bookstore team, and her awesomeness comes from her love of helping animals. An artist who helped hand-paint the signs for the bookstore, Jewely wanted to make sure that the cats at Big Cat Rescue had plenty of food and water. “I wanted to make sure they could have a better habitat, and the owners get the help they need.”  A big sister, Jewely loves “running around in my backyard on the playground my Dad built.” Jewely fell in love …
