Comint is indeed a type of Sigint, and I meant to say Elint (also a type of Sigint). And yes, there are multiple types of intel, but my point was that there are often conflicts in information that is coming in in real time and I was giving examples. In the Benghazi situation, I'd professionally wager that the best source will be Humint, supplemented by Comint. And, as multiple echelons were …   more ›

Poll: Do You Read Campaign Mail?

In light of the upcoming election we want to know what voters do when they receive campaign literature in the mail. Do you read it or toss it?

With the Nov. 6 election coming up in less than a week, it appears as though politicial flyers are being mailed to homes in a rush to influence voters. The accompanying photo shows five campaign cards that arrived in the mailbox of one local home in just one day! In light of the upcoming election we want to know what voters do when they receive campaign literature in the mail. Do you read it or toss it? We're inviting you to participate in our poll below. If you answer that you "sometimes" read campaign literature, let us know in the comments section what makes you decide to read literature from one campaign and not another!

The money spent on this mail is a crime . The millions spent on tv is also a crime . Iam sure they spent well over a billion dollars already. All that spent for a few sound bites that no one believes.   more ›

Biden: Master of the One-Liners? (VIDEO)

Vice President Joe Biden is known for his humor, and he definitely shared it in Sarasota, and that's not an "outrageous lie."

With five days before the General Election, it's time to laugh. Vice President Joe Biden's appearance in Sarasota was noted for him calling Gov. Mitt Romney's Ohio radio ad an "outrageous lie" about how Jeep is taking jobs to China. (For the record, the Jeep chief executive said they are adding jobs in Toledo, and a new Chinese plant is for only the Chinese market.) But there's a lot of crazy stuff and one-liners that Biden said that didn't make it to the nightly news. Especially when you clip his words together out of order and out of context like a late-night talk show. Including: "Eureka! He found there was a binder full of qualified women!" "I'm being a good Biden today." "... The president is wrong." "Look man, I used to have a …

Romney Promises 'Real Change'

Gov. Mitt Romney expounded on his 5-point plan during a speech in Tampa Wednesday. Notables in the crowd included former Tampa Mayor Dick Greco, a Democrat.

Gov. Mitt Romney Romney took the stage to a roar of applause just before 11 a.m. Wednesday in front of a crowd of thousands who waited in a chilly airplane hangar for the presidential candidate’s arrival in Tampa. Wearing a black-and-white striped tie and his sleeves rolled up, Romney looked more informal than in previous appearances. “My view is straight forward, I believe this is the time for America to take a different course,” Romney told the crowd. “With 23 million Americans struggling to find a good job, this is something that requires a different path than we've been on. “I will bring real change,” Romney said. “Real reform." Wednesday’s Tampa stop is among a trifecta of Florida visits for the presidential candidate who will be …

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney is addressing a crowd at Landmark Aviation in Tampa this morning.

For the second time in less than a week, Gov. Mitt Romney is on stage in the Tampa Bay area. Romney began addressing a crowd at Tampa’s Landmark Aviation a short while ago. Robert Penaranda immigrated to the United States from Cuba when he was 8 years old. Now 58, and the owner of a landscaping business for the past 30 years, Penaranda says Gov. Mitt Romney is who he'll be voting for. "He's a businessman and the United States is a business and you need a business mind to run it," said Penaranda, a Carrollwood resident. Penaranda was joined by his wife Marlene at Wednesday's rally in Tampa. "(President Barack) Obama is going in a different direction and we don't need big government," said Marlene, 57. Referring to her husband she added, "He's been in business for 30 years and he's hurting right now."
