Melting Pot Raises Money For St. Judes
More than 100 golfers took part in this year's charitable event.
The sun was shining and the weather cool without too much wind made for a great day of golf and charitable giving last week at Emerald Green Golf Resort. That was the location where the third annual Melting Pot Golf Classic took place. The event, which happened on Nov. 5, was staged in an effort to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Last year the event raised $45,000 for the hospital. This year's goal was twice that. "The most success for us has been telling everyone about St. Jude and they want to take part," said Golf Committee Chair Elaine Hanson, compensation and human resource systems for Front Burner Brands.
