As 2012 draws to a close, it gives us a chance to reflect on the many changes that took place in the Carrollwood and Northdale areas in the last 365 days. Many times, we all drove through town wondering, "What's going to be opening there?" We welcomed many businesses to the area in the last year. Ierna's Chili Cook-Off Promises to 'Bring the Heat'

Proceeds from the chili cook-off, which includes entertainment and a bounce house, will help a needy family

If you're a fan of chili and charity, a local business is offering an event you may want to mark on your calendar. Ierna's Heating & Cooling is hosting a "Bring the Heat" chili cook-off on Saturday, Feb. 18, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at their office, 18843 U.S. Highway 41 in Lutz. Proceeds will benefit a local family in need, who will receive a new heating and cooling system. The event includes live music and a bounce house for kids, said Loran Tripp, director of public relations and marketing for Ierna's.
