Bay Area Saxophone Quartet Performing at Cultural Center

The show will be at the Carrollwood Cultural Center, 4537 Lowell Road.

This just in from the Carrollwood Cultural Center: The Bay Area Saxophone Quartet (BASQ) will return to the Carrollwood Cultural Center on Sunday, October 21 at 2 p.m. BASQ is a group of local musicians who have been performing throughout the Tampa Bay area for almost three decades. Members of the quartet include Jay B. Starkey (soprano saxophone), Jim Burge (tenor saxophone), Ted Hope (baritone saxophone) and Craig MacDougal (alto saxophone). Starkey, founder of the Bay Area Saxophone Quartet, is a retired cattle rancher in Odessa who grew up in Largo. He has played saxophone since 5th grade and through college in concert and jazz bands.
