The news media (including this publication) gives to much attention to so-called Christians likeRead More this one...why not give equal attention to progressive Christians who support "female independence," as well as a woman's right to choose, people of any and every sexual orientation, and yes, even (gasp!) socialists!?! There are those of us Christians who take seriously the recorded words of Jesus who said, "Love God and love others...." Those of us Christians who honestly try to practice compassion, humility, and tolerance toward all don't get much press attention....not that we are doing it for press attention, but giving attention to people like this gives the whole world a biased/inaccurate opinion of all Christians. Just sayin'...

PLEASE STOP POSTING THIS STORY, unless you are going to take it further and interview and quoteRead More progressive Christians who would present a completely different perspective on these issues. We are not hard to find. I personally could recommend several Christian leaders who could articulate a completely different mindset. Thank you.

Throughout America's history, we have ALWAYS HAD A PATH TO CITIZENSHIP! America has always hadRead More defined BORDERS. SORRY - but anyone who is NOT a Citizen, but WANTS to be should take advantage of our laws. There are over 330 Million American Citizens - why should the law be changed to accommodate those who ALREADY do not follow our Immigration Laws?

Yes, it is time for Immigration Reform! We have become a society that 1)assumes that folks are doingRead More wrong, not already trying to follow directions and 2) are incredibly exclusionary, fearful of those not included already. This has got to stop. Many folks who can help the US economy are simply, silently waiting to see the rules and then they will follow them. Many of these folks are already giving to the US economy. It is no longer just about "self", but about helping others that can ultimately help all.

we do need immigration reform but not amnesty which failed horribly last time but with it heavyRead More fines for being here illegally as it becomes such as felony charges for illegally entering the country or over staying a visa more then 6 months which is not any were as harsh as Mexico own policy's but open up an easier farm worker program so farmers will start using them like setting up a farm cycle were a dozens or more farms get tougher and put one app for them
