Cultural Center Receives Grant for Summer Camp

This just in from the Carrollwood Cultural Center:

Friends of Carrollwood Cultural Center, the non-profit organization which manages and operates the Carrollwood Cultural Center, received a $5,168.50 grant from the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay with funding made possible by the Sam and Helen Davis Fund.

This grant is specifically designated for tuition assistance for the   Anticipated cost of tuition assistance for 2012 is in excess of $15,000, which could fund up to 15 kids for camp, Center officials say.

Summer Camps at the Carrollwood Cultural Center are offered for children 4-12 years old.

A variety of art-focused activities is available and each activity is designed to instill a love and appreciation of the arts that will remain with the children for a lifetime.  Morning, afternoon, and all day camps are offered as well as before and after care. 

“The Carrollwood Cultural Center is extremely thankful for the generous support of the Sam and Helen Davis Fund within the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay," said Paul Berg, the Center's executive director. "This money will not only assure that a lot of kids will have a fun and enriching summer, but that many families will be able to go to work with the peace of mind that their child is in a safe, fun, and educational environment.”
