Funeral services for Tampa Bay Buccaneers legend Lee Roy Selmon, who died on Sunday after suffering a stroke last week, have been set for 10 a.m. on Friday at Idlewild Baptist Church, 18371 N. Dale Mabry Highway in Lutz.
Meanwhile, according to the Bucs Facebook page, the Bucs, USF Athletics and Tampa Sports Authority have designated a tree-shaded mound in the middle of the mass transit drop-off turnaround on Dale Mabry Highway at Raymond James Stadium as a tribute area for Selmon.
People may place flowers, cards or remembrances of Selmon beginning after 5 p.m. today and continuing through the Bucs season opener on Sunday, Sept. 11.
There will be signage near the pedestrian footbridge crossing over Dale Mabry Highway to direct people to the the drop off location.
