When Do Carrollwood Schools Close for the Holidays?

Hillsborough schools will close at the end of the week just before Christmas.

Carrollwood students itching to put up their books for winter break don’t have too much longer to wait.

Hillsborough County Public Schools officially lock up for the holidays after the last bell Friday, Dec. 21, according to the district's calendar. The winter break runs from Monday, Dec. 24, through Friday, Jan. 4. That means kids don’t have to hit the books again until Monday, Jan. 7, 2013.

Parents should note that Carrollwood schools won’t remain open for long though. They shut down again Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, in honor of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday and again Jan. 22 for a non-student day. The second grading period ends Friday, Jan. 18.
