Robert Davis Signs with Cincinnati

The Carrollwood Day School running back has amassed a number of honors during his high school career.

Standout high school running back Robert Davis is trading in his Patriots jersey for a Cincinnati Bearcats uniform.

The Carrollwood Day School incoming senior has made his post-graduation intentions of moving to Ohio and the University of Cincinnati known. News of Davis’ signing was posted on the Cincinnati Bearcats Twitter feed today and was confirmed by Bay News 9.

Davis had offers from such schools as Ball State, but opted for Cincinnati instead, Bay News 9 reported. He dreamt of playing for a Big East team in college and made that wish true by making the commitment to the Bearcats.

Since his high school career began, Davis has made quite a name for himself. He is within 1,966 yards of breaking the county’s all-time rushing record and led Hillsborough in rushing last season, Bay News 9 reported.

Davis is known for getting this job done. Last year, CDS head coach : "He's having a heck of a year, and he's played hurt in a few games, too."
