Cell Phone Tower Contract Extended Near Hillsborough Schools

Some have argued that the towers are unhealthy for students

If you've been following the Hillsborough County School Board's discussion about cell phone towers near the county's schools, here's an update: The School Board this week voted to extend its contract with a company that leased land to cellular phone companies.

The controversial towers have caused outcry among parents, who fear that they are unhealthy for their children. But proponents of the cell phone towers say the leases on the towers bring much needed revenue into the school system.
