Sandbags Available In Northwest Hillsborough County
The lakes in northwest Hillsborough County are near capacity. Be prepared.
This just in from officials at Hillsborough County:
Due to the continuous recent rain, the lakes in northwest Hillsborough County are reported to be reaching capacity. So Hillsborough County is making sandbags available to the public from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. today at the West Service Unit, located at 9805 Sheldon Drive in Tampa.
Filled sandbags will be available to the elderly/disabled. Sandbag materials will be available to those physically able to make their own. Additionally, each citizen will sign their name and provide their home address acknowledging the receipt of 25 sandbags or less.
