Part of Henderson Road Closing for Veterans Construction
A section of the road near the Veterans Expressway will be closed starting Monday, Aug. 12.
Carrollwood area motorists who plan to use Henderson Road to get around might want to map out a different route this week.
Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise has announced an around-the-clock closing of Henderson Road near the Veterans Expressway overpass starting Monday, Aug. 12. The road isn’t expect to reopen until Sunday, Aug. 18.
Christa Deason, the agency’s spokeswoman, says Henderson construction includes work on new bridge spans and the installation of new water lines.

Deason recommends drivers use southbound Wilsky to Hanley or southbound Sheldon Road as a way around the construction.
Henderson construction is related to the $386 million Veterans Expressway widening project.
