Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections: Three candidates have already filed to run for the post being vacated by Earl Lennard, who is not running for re-election. , threw his hat into the ring next week and will oppose Democrats Craig Latimer and Thomas Scott.

Hillsborough County Property Appraiser: Incumbent Rob Turner's recent scandal involving pornographic emails sent to a co-worker in November. Also running are two Democrats - former State Rep. Bob Henriquez and real estate broker James DeMio - and Rob Townsend, who is running without party affiliation.

Hillsborough County Sheriff: Incumbent David Gee is challenging write-in candidate Robert O. Wirengard to take the reigns of the county's public safety.

Hillsborough County Commissioner: Incumbent Victor Crist is challenging Sharon Calvert for a seat in District 2, which covers the majority of Carrollwood. In District 6, a countywide seat, Kevin Beckner is running against Margaret Iuculano and Don Kruse.

School Board: In District 1, Eduardo Calcines is challenging Susan Valdes. In District 3, Jack Lamb, Leo Frederick Perrella and Cindy L. Stuart.
