Thieves Hit Emerald Green Country Club, Steal Tools
Deputies say three people broke into the country club and stole power tools worth more than $500.
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies are on the hunt for three men they say broke into Carrollwood’s Emerald Green Country Club and walked away with a collection of tools worth more than $500.
The crime took place at the 14050 N. Village Drive country club between 9:30 a.m. June 26 and 7 a.m. June 27. The men, deputies say, gained access by crawling in through a window. Once inside, they snagged air-powered tools and hand tools before leaving on foot.
Deputies only have a rough description of the three suspects, but they believe they are in their late teens to early 20s. They have released a surveillance video that shows the suspects in action. One of the men was wearing a dark hoodie with the words "Amsterdam University" written on the front.
