The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is on the lookout for prescription pill thief deputies say has struck three pharmacies since March 22.
The man’s crime spree began in Carrollwood around 1 p.m. on March 22 when he entered the CVS pharmacy at 11212 N. Dale Mabry Highway, walked up to the prescription counter and demanded pills. After getting what he came for, deputies say the man fled the store on foot.
All was quiet until March 26 when the man picked up the pace by striking not one, but two pharmacies in the Brandon area.
Deputies say he went to the 930 Providence Road Walgreens around 12:33 p.m. March 26 and demanded pills. When pharmacy staff refused, the man left.
He resurfaced around 1 p.m. at the CVS at 715 W. Brandon Blvd. After receiving narcotics in that attempt, the man left the store.
In all three cases, the man told pharmacy staff he wanted "Roxy, Oxcodone, Hydromorphone, or Alprazolam,” a sheriff’s office media release said.
The man is described as being between 25 and 30 years old. He’s between 5 feet, 10 inches and 6 feet in height and weighs about 175 pounds and is described as having a medium build. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded University of Florida sweatshirt with the hood up over a blue cap. He was also wearing aviator-style sunglasses, blue shorts and black tennis shoes.
