Deputies Nab BB&T Bank Robbery Suspect

The man was caught shortly after the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office released surveillance photos June 11.

The man with the gold van wanted in connection with a recent robbery at BB&T Bank in Carrollwood is now in police custody.

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office officials say they made an arrest in the robbery Tuesday, June 11.

Jeffery John Bilger, 43, of 14704 Penguin Place in Northdale was taken into custody shortly after deputies released surveillance photos of a June 7 robbery at the 15312 N. Dale Mabry Highway BB&T Branch. Deputies said the man in the robbery might be connected to a May robbery in St. Petersburg. He was said to have driven a rather distinctive gold van to the Carrollwood crime scene.
