Do You Foursquare?

Try integrating a location based service like Foursquare for your social media. It will garner more attention for your business and won't take that much more time than doing nothing!

You should!

What is this Foursquare you speak of, Lisa?

Foursquare is a location based service that allows you to "check-in" pretty much anywhere. Why should you do it? I do it for a couple reasons. As a business, you can integrate it with your Facebook and Twitter pages and every time you check in, it shows as a status update or as a tweet.

So, why is this good? Because your business name shows up on the news feeds of those who like your page or follow your profile every time you check in. Good to be seen, know what I'm sayin'?

Another good reason to do this is because you can also throw some mention love to your business friends. Check in when you eat somewhere and same something nice about your meal or server. Check in at the bank where your operating account is and comment on their customer service. Everybody likes to be liked. They also like to be mentioned particularly when it's something nice or complimentary. I know I do!

Something else you can do is to announce that you have a special running for anyone who checks in at your store, restaurant, place of business. When they check in, they have to show the waiter, server, clerk, etc. to redeem their special or discount. Now you get them in your location, they tell their friends, and everyone's happy!

Go sign up for a free account today and play with it a bit. It's pretty user friendly and I think you'll be a champ in no time!
