Go Green at Clean Air Fair

The environmental event takes place Thursday, May 9 in downtown Tampa.

Carrollwood and Northdale area residents who want to find out more about going green may want to make the short drive to downtown Tampa Thursday, May 9.

That’s when Hillsborough County’s Environmental Protection Commission is playing host to its 12th annual Clean Air Fair. The event takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Poe Plaza, which is on Jackson Street at the corner of Franklin Street.

Attendees can expect to see a lot of environmental and community exhibits during the event, according to county officials. They’ll also gain insights on how they can help the environment and go a little greener around their homes. Free food, health information, prize drawings and live music are also planned.
