Carrollwood Kiwanis Luncheon

Membership in the Carrollwood Kiwanis Club is open to men and women of good character, over the age of 18. We invite anybody interested in the issues and topics we focus our efforts on to join. Members should be able to dedicate enough time to participate and make a difference in the organization.  Those interested in joining may contact any member, visit www.carrollwoodkiwanis.org or come as a guest to a weekly luncheon.  The luncheons are held each Wednesday, from 12 to 1 PM at J Christopher’s in Carrollwood.  The Kiwanis Club of Carrollwood was chartered in 1978.

Kiwanis International is a global organization of members of every age who are dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time.  The first Kiwanis club was chartered on January 21, 1915, in Detroit, Michigan.  Today, Kiwanis has grown to number 8,400 clubs and 275,000 members in 96 countries around the world.  Kiwanis clubs sponsor community service projects and raise funds to meet local needs with a special focus on children.

In 2010, Kiwanis clubs around the world raised more than $100 million for community service activities, with a special emphasis on meeting the needs of young children.  Kiwanis members also donated almost 6 million volunteer hours to these service activities.  This money and time supported almost 150,000 Kiwanis projects to meet community needs.
