Voices of Strength: A Night of Expression

The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay in collaboration with the Sexual Violence Task Force of Tampa Bay will host the 4th annual event, Voices of Strength: A Night of Expression on November 16th from 4-7:00 PM at The Carrollwood Cultural Center (4537 Lowell Road, Tampa, FL 33618)

Voices of Strength is dedicated to empowering survivors through a creative lens. At the event, survivors have the opportunity to express themselves through poetry, art, music, dance, comedy, and writings about the journey of recovery from sexual violence and the transformation into empowerment.

During the event, there will be a display and showcase of survivor artwork and jewelry, as well as an open-mic for survivors who wish to share their journey and empowerment. A silent auction will take place to raise funds for future workshops and events for survivors. There will also be a collection of new clothes for the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay’s Sexual Assault Services. These clothes will go to rape survivors who receive forensic exams and have to have their clothing taken for evidence.

The Crisis Center and SVTF would like to invite the entire Tampa community to please join us for this very special event and support these survivors through their journey towards recovery. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Admission to the event is free to all.
