Monday Night Jazz Series: USF Around the World; Featuring Tom Brantley, Trombone

The inaugural concert in the 2013-14 season of the USF Monday Night Jazz Series kicks off with a showcase of two of the USF Jazz chamber groups that captivated audiences in performances at some of Europe’s most prestigious jazz festivals this past summer. Tom Brantley, USF Professor of Trombone, who led the USF Jazz Ensemble with distinction for the past eight years, will also give a featured performance in the concert.  The Brass Herald calls USF Professor of Trombone, Tom Brantley, “. . .a musician who transcends technique and the practical considerations that most mortals have to deal with.”
