Weekend Round-up: Fun Events for Families, from Free Festivals to Jazz and Poetry

Find out what you can do together this weekend

Now that the weekend is here, let's find something fun to do. Here are five things you can do this weekend with your family:

  • If you're a bargain hunter, check out the spring clothing swap meet from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Carrollwood Recreation Center. It's being sponsored by Working Women of Tampa Bay. Read about it here.
  • Take the kids to Healthy Kids Day at the Bob Sierra YMCA in Northdale. It starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, and features bounce houses, sand volleyball and relay races. Find out more here.
  • Looking for some poetry and jazz? The Jimmie B. Keel Regional Library is offering a free event at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Find out more here.
  • Storytime at the Barnes & Noble in Carrollwood begins at 11 a.m. today. Find out more here.
