Think You're Funny? Hone Your Comedy Skills During a Class

The class will be held at the Life Enrichment Center, 9704 N. Boulevard in Forest Hills

If you want to perfect your ability to make people laugh, a class will be held at the Life Enrichment Center to help you do just that.

"Welcome to Stand-Up Comedy" is a new class that will teach students about the writing process, help them develop their own material and allow them to meet professional comedians.

The class will be led by Michael Murillo.

"If you want to quit your job and hit the road telling jokes for a living, this is not the class for you," he said. "But stand-up comedy offers practical benefits for everyone from retirees, stay-at-home parents and anybody who wants to tap into their creative side in a fun and different way."

The class begins on May 1, and will from 2 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. The cost is $90 for the class, which ends June 5.
