TECO Links to Online Power Outage Map, Reports Some 60,000 Homes Without Electricity
The Tampa Electric Company is busy with storms today, as evidenced by the power outage map that residents can view online.
Tampa Electric posts an outage map that on stormy days like today, March 31, is especially useful, as some 60,000 customers were reported to be without service as the rough weather continues.
The report, issued at 12:43 p.m., also provided a link to TECO’s online outage map, which as of 1:09 p.m. showed power outages in the Greater Brandon area ranging from “very small” (one to 10 customers) to “large” (200-plus customers).
Tips are provided as well for a power outage kit. Also provided, a link to frequently asked questions about power outages, and their answers.
