If You Go: Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parades

There are two annual parades in the area that honor the life of Dr. King.

With school out on Monday, January 21 and many Carrollwood and Northdale residents off work in honor or Martin Luther King Jr. Day, families might want to check out parades happening in the area. Below is information on the two big parades honor the life of Dr.King.

The 25th Tampa Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade will take place in Tampa on Monday, January 21 at 12 noon. The parade begins at 15th Street and Martin Luther King Jr.  Boulevard, travels east to 22nd Street and ends at Osborne Avenue. Event is Free.

The 28th annual MLK Drum Major for Justice Parade will take place on Monday, January 21 in St. Petersburg. The parade begins at 11 a.m. on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. St. at Third Ave. S., proceeds north to Central Ave., east along Central to Bayshore Drive and north to Fifth Ave. NE, ending at North Shore Park.Event is Free.
