Humane Society Partnering with Pet Supermarket for Adoptions

Cats from the humane society can be adopted at three Pet Supermarket locations in Tampa Bay

For the past year, the National Humane Society at 4039 Gunn Highway has been partnering with Pet Supermarket to make sure abused or neglected cats have homes.

That partnership recently expanded to include more Pet Supermarket locations, according to Carol Childs, who runs the NHS.

Here's how the it works: Childs said that the NHS "rotates them (cats) out every few days," so that new animals are available for adoption often at Pet Supermarket. Meanwhile, Pet Supermarket allows customers to adopt the NHS cats that are in their stores for anywhere from $30 to $75.
