Hot Days Ahead for Carrollwood, Northdale

Carrollwood and Northdale residents who want to soak up the sun might be in luck this week.

The National Weather Service is calling for a hot week ahead with scant chances for rain.

According to the service’s website, Monday’s high temperature will climb to the low 90s and rain chances will remain at 20 percent. If showers do make an appearance, they won’t come until the afternoon hours. Expect lows in the lower 70s this evening.

The rest of the week is shaping up much the same with highs in the low 90s and lows in the 70s. Slight thunderstorm possibilities creep into the forecast on Wednesday night and get a little stronger on Thursday when the likelihood of rain climbs to 30 percent. Thursday is also expected to be the hottest day of the week with a high expected to reach about 95 degrees.
