- Today is the first day of school in Hillsborough County. Check out our back to school roundup and some important information from the schools superintendent.
- Speaking of back to school, stop by Fifth Third Bank, 13001 N. Dale Mabry Highway, on Friday, Aug. 26 from noon until 2 p.m. to donate school supplies for a back to school drive. School supplies and or cash can be donated. Pizza will also be provided. Call 813-968-2050 for more information.
- Hungry? Stop by GrillSmith in Carrollwood for lunch or dinner. Proceeds from a few dishes offered at the restaurant will go toward a fundraiser for Calyx and Beau Schenecker, who were killed earlier this year.
- It's Comedy Improv night at the Take 2 Lounge at the Tampa Pitcher Show. The event is free, and features $5 pitchers of Rolling Rock.
