Five Things To Know Today: Tuesday, April 12

A daily digest on Patch

Here are five things you can do or learn more about today:

  • Mark your calendar for a spring swap meet on Saturday, April 16, hosted by Working Women of Tampa Bay.
  • While you've got your calendar out, make sure you stop by Amore's on Monday, April 18. From 4:30 p.m. until 9 p.m., they'll be hosting a night "Out on the Town," an event that will donate 10 percent of sales to the Carrollwood Cultural Center. Call 813-443-4598 to put in your take-out order or to receive more information on the event.
  • Take the kids to story time at the Carrollwood Barnes & Noble, 11802 N. Dale Mabry Highway.
  • Speaking of bookstores, Borders in Carrollwood is still selling items for up to 80 percent off before they close at the end of April. They're located at 12500 N. Dale Mabry Highway.
  • Finally, if you own a nonprofit organization or volunteer at one, we're looking for nonprofits to spotlight on Tuesdays. E-mail us your suggestions and ideas to camille.spencer@patch.com.
