Five Things To Know Today: The Back-To-School Edition

A digest of a few things to know before the kids head back to school

Here are five things you can do or learn more about on Tuesday, Aug. 16:

  • School starts in Hillsborough County on Aug. 23. If you're still not sure what your child needs to get the school year started on the right foot, find out more on the county's school website.
  • If you have back to school supplies you want to donate to children in need, one of three drives in the Carrollwood area is being sponsored by The Guzman Law Group. Supplies are being collected through Sept. 2.
  • A second back to school drive is being held at Landmark at Grand Palms apartments, 3831 Northgreen Avenue near Gaither High School. Supplies will be collected through Aug. 18.
  • A third back to school drive is being held at Panera Bread in Carrollwood, 13256 N. Dale Mabry Highway. Supplies will be collected until Aug. 19.
