A daily digest

Here are five things you can do or learn more about today:

  • If you have school supplies you want to donate to kids who may not have them by the time school starts in Hillsborough County on Aug. 23, stop by a back to school drive sponsored by The Guzman Law Group. The drive runs until Sept. 2.
  • Looking for some fun tonight? The Ultimate Blues Brothers Revue will be held at 8 p.m. today at the Carrollwood Cultural Center, 4537 Lowell Road. Watch Wink Warren and Dave Martin bring the movie's characters to life with the backing of a six-piece band. Find out more, including ticket prices, here.
  • Take the kids to Story Time at Barnes & Noble, where they can hear a story and do a craft. The event starts at 11 a.m. today.
  • Are you in the mood for a tasty treat? Frozen yogurt seems to be on every corner in Carrollwood. Find out where you can get some.
  • Finally, if you run a nonprofit organization or volunteer at one, we want to hear from you. Email us suggestions for our nonprofit spotlights to camille.spencer@patch.com.
