Calling All Volunteers: University Community Hospital in Carrollwood

Find out where you can lend a hand

If you've got some free time and want to volunteer, University Community Hospital in Carrollwood could use your help.

Volunteers are needed to assist with patient and visitor needs and support the hospital's goals. That includes working in the gift shop, information desk or in the waiting room.

Twice a year, volunteers are treated to lunch to show appreciation for their work.

The first step to becoming a volunteer is filling out an application. Then, there's an interview, background check, orientation, health screening, placement and training. A minimum of four hours per week is required.

There are programs for teens, college students and adults.
