13 Things To Know About Carrollwood Patch

1. Don't hesitate to post an event. Look under the "Contribute" tab at the bottom of th home page to find a link to post events or announcements. What qualifies as an event? Anything from a book signing to the opening of a new art exhibit. You can also post announcements. Those include births, deaths, school awards, weddings, etc.

2. If you see breaking news, let us know. Look for the "Send Us News Tips" link under the "Contribute" tab as well. Or, e-mail me at camille.spencer@patch.com.

3. We're covering Northdale, too! Just because it isn't getting its own Patch doesn't mean Northdale will be ignored. Let us know what's going on there so that events and news there can appear here.

4. Need a volunteer, or want to help out somewhere? Go to the "Volunteer" tab at the bottom of the home page.

5. We're featuring weekly features that you can enjoy. Those include our Monday Business Profiles. Got a business you want featured? .

6. Do you have an interesting perspective that you want heard? Write a letter to the editor that's no longer than 250 words. Email it to me at camille.spencer@patch.com. Letters will be edited, and will be approved at the editor's discretion.

7. We're riding the social media wave. Check out Carrollwood Patch on Twitter (@cwoodpatch) or become a fan of the Carrollwood Patch Facebook page.

8. If you're a business owner, flip through our directory. We've compiled information and photos from all over Carrollwood. A street team worked hard to include every business in the area. If you don't see your business, you can add it.

9. If you've taken a cool photo or video, upload it to the site. Examples are photos of festivals or school events that you want to share with the community.
