Fall Fashion Palette

Fall Fashion Pallette by Darren Pena

Ah, autumn! There is nothing quite like a cool fall morning. It’s a welcome respite after the scorching heat of Florida summers. And it’s also a time when nature changes her colors, dropping her bright and colorful summer motifs for something a little more subdued- but still beautiful. Take a look at the color trends in fall fashions for this year. There’s an incredible array of color from which to choose your own fall pallette.

We run down the runway color choices for you below:

Cerulean looks to be the new turquoise for fall. This shade of blue gives a young look to anything and goes well with accents that shine or sparkle.

Venetian red gives your wardrobe a slight covering of rust. Imagine yourself wrapped in this warm deep red, especially for those finely tailored, structured looks.

Primrose yellow is the color of choice if you love to assemble a color-blocked look. It makes the perfect top color in that scheme, and is also fabulous when worked into wild or sophisticated prints. Teal, especially a deep, dark variation is going to be seen quite a bit after dark. This somewhat subdued hue looks great with a variety of textures and fabrics seen mostly in evening or formal wear.

Peach is the color for those of you looking to break away from the pink parade. It’s a soft, mellow color that’s fab as a neutral accent, but more than capable of making a statement all on its own.

Royal blue is the absolute best choice for topping off that black ensemble. It’s a saturated color that works well with dark but has a vibrancy that helps you stand out from the crowd.

Eggplant is stepping off the dinner plate and onto the runways this fall. Always a solid choice for cosmetics, this deep purple hue works well with a variety of fabrics. Accent with gold for a rich look.

Burnt orange is another fall fave for pairing with black. Not as in-your-face as a vibrant neon orange, it’s softer look works wells in fabrics offering a slight sheen to them.

Brown continues its surge as a dominant color choice that simply screams fall. Looking to get way from the blacks or grays in your fall ensemble? Move toward brown, and check out what it can do for you.

As always, greens and golds are other solid color choices for fall. And in case you didn’t know, the coloristas at Pantone (trust me, these people are the authoritative voice of color) named Tangerine Tango as the hot color choice for this autumn season. It’s a vibrant, energetic tone that gets you out the door, ready to carpe diem! If you’re looking to give off some heat to balance the cooler fall weather, Tangerine Tango is the right hue for you.

Yours in style,
Darren
