HCSO & Code Enforcement Give Neighborhood Watch a New Look

Hillsborough County Code Enforcement and the Sheriff's Office have partnered to provide new Neighborhood Watch signage to newly established Neighborhood Watch groups.

Thanks to a Criminal Justice funded grant, Hillsborough County Code Enforcement has partnered with the Sheriff's Office to provide new Neighborhood Watch signage to newly established Crime Watch groups in unincorporated Hillsborough County.

The new sign features an original design, which incorporates both the familiar "Watchful Eye" and "Boris the Burglar" type imagery, as on found existing Crime Watch signage. The new signs have also been specifically designed to reflect the partnership between the Sheriff's Office and Code Enforcement and bears both agencies' logos, and numbers for the Sheriff's Office's Non-Emergency Dispatch (813-247-8200) and Code Enforcement's Gang/Graffiti Abatement Hotline (1-877-GANGOUT.)

The signs are custom-made with reflective sheeting on 18"x24" anodized aluminum backing, and can be mounted to any standard U-channel post. One sign will be distributed to each new Neighborhood Watch group at the conclusion of their initial "start-up" meeting.
