The Life Enrichment Center is registering now for a new watercolor class for adults. This class is for beginners or those who have experience. Students can choose to paint in either watercolors or Sumi-e Asian brush painting, both water-based mediums. Artists who paint in other styles have found it helpful to learn the strokes and brush control in Sumi-e painting.
The 6-week course will start on Monday, October 15 through November 26, 2012 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 noon. The course fee is $75 for members of the Life Enrichment Center or $90 for non-members. Annual membership to the Life Enrichment Center starts at $30.
The course will be taught by Susan McKay, who studied art at Columbus College of Art and Design and spent 25 years as a commercial designer, writer and illustrator. She has been teaching art classes for more than 30 years.
