The Melting Pot Restaurant Collecting Items for Troops

One of the restaurants three locations is in Carrollwood at 13164 N. Dale Mabry Highway

In recognition of Memorial Day and Independence Day, The Melting Pot Restaurants of Tampa, St. Petersburg and Sarasota (http://www.meltingpot.com) are gathering items ranging from toothbrushes to ramen noodles to ship to members of the military serving on the front lines.

From Friday, May 25 until July 3, when guests bring in 'A Bag and a Buck' (a quart-sized bag filled with items ranging from personal hygiene products to candy, plus a $1 bill to pay for shipping) to The Melting Pot of Tampa, St. Petersburg or Sarasota, they will receive one free small chocolate fondue with a $50 purchase.  Guests are required to bring in one bag and buck to receive a free chocolate fondue, but additional donations for the troops are welcome.

The Melting Pot Restaurants will ship the supplies collected to the 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Army currently serving in Afghanistan.

“Collecting donations for our troops is the perfect way to honor our military during the summer patriotic holidays,” said Emily Harrison, marketing liaison for the Tampa Bay area Melting Pot restaurants.

The Tampa Bay area Melting Pot locations and restaurant management company Front Burner Brands selected the 82nd Airborne Division as the recipient of the supplies because the brother of a Front Burner Brands team member serves with the division in Afghanistan.
