Patch Picks: Pampered Pets

If you consider your family unit to have a half of a member (i.e. 2.5 kids), this week’s picks are for you. From toys to grooming needs, Patch scoped out five places in Carrollwood that keep pets healthy and happy.

Red Carpet Grooming, 4343 Gunn Highway – Red Carpet Grooming specializes in styling for the smaller dog. Owner Debbie Smith has been grooming dogs for over 30 years.  If you want to treat your pooch to a show stopping treatment, blueberry facials and aromatherapy shampoos are available. Grooming is by appointment only.

Trish’s All Breeds Pet Grooming, 10420 N. Florida Avenue – In addition to dogs, Trish’s also grooms cats, ferrets and rabbits.  Nail clipping, ear cleaning and other hygiene maintenance are specialties at this location.  Appointments are not necessary before 1 p.m.  Tuesday and Wednesday are discount days; customers receive $5 off full haircuts and $3 off baths. 

Pet Supermarket, 11409 N. Dale Mabry Highway - Toys, treats and pet supplies abound at the pet supermarket.  This is the go-to location for all things pet related. As long as your fur baby is leashed, you can take him or her shopping with you. If you’re looking to expand your family, cats, birds and fish are available for purchase.

Groovy Cats & Dogs, 10213 Lake Carroll Way – If healthy, holistic pet food is something you are interested in, check out Groovy Cats & Dogs.  All pet food is made from all natural ingredients and contains no preservatives.  Additionally, leashes, beds and other accessories are also available for purchase.

Petco – 13127 N. Dale Mabry Highway -  Petco is a one stop shop. This location sells pet food and supplies, has a wide variety of pets for purchase and even has an on-site grooming facility. Check out their website for their spring apparel collection for dogs.
