Hiring? Know the Right Questions to Ask Candidates

There are plenty of tips out there for job candidates. Here's help for the person asking those tough questions.

Don't put the job candidate on the hot seat, and spend some time to get to know the person you may hire.

Finding the right person to work at your small business can be a daunting task. HH Staffing, which serves clients from the Tampa Bay area to Orlando, offers some tips to help you make the best hiring choice.

  1. Make your interviewee comfortable: The more at ease the interviewee is, the better you'll be able to judge personality and if he or she will make a good fit.
  2. Find out the candidate's long-term plans: Does your interviewee want a job or a career? Finding out whether he or she wants to grow with your company is key to saving money and time.
  3. Learn what candidates like about the company: Find out what they researched about your business. If you know what they like about your business, you'll be able to tell if your ideals match.
