Food Truck Festival Still on Following Co-Founder's Death

The Odessa Organic Farmers Market will open Friday and cap off the night with a food truck festival, but will close the rest of the weekend following the death of Suzanne Ciani.

Fresh fruits and vegetables will fill the stands at the Odessa Organic Farmers Market Friday, April 12. Food trucks will even roll in for a festival during the evening hours.

But come Saturday morning, the market will be closed for the weekend as family and friends honor co-founder Suzanne Ciani’s life during a memorial service at noon at Idlewild Church at Odessa, 1234 Gunn Highway.

Ciani died due to complications from brain cancer on Saturday, April 6. She was 52 years old. She and husband, John, were instrumental in starting the Odessa Organic Farmers Market and related events like Green After Dark and the Odessa Food Truck Festival.
