Carmel Café Wine Dinner Series Presents 35th Anniversary of The Taste of Paris Nov. 6

Enjoy some of the most celebrated wines from both French and American vineyards during a special celebration of the famous 1976 Taste of Paris. That competition favorably changed the worldwide status of American wines. This time, you will be the judge in a blind tasting that compares three chardonnay and three cabernet sauvignon wines, some with ties to their history-making predecessors.

What:             Interactive wine tasting and dinner modeled after the 1976 Taste of Paris, also known as the Judgment of Paris.

Guided by a certified sommelier, guests will blind taste and score three chardonnays and three cabernet sauvignons from the storied vineyards that participated in the original Taste of Paris that changed wine-making in America forever.

Wines will be paired with three courses of Mod Med creations from Carmel Cafe’s kitchen.

Guests may also participate in a raffle for prizes that include wines from the featured vineyards, Carmel Café gift cards and copies of the movie inspired by the Paris tasting, “Bottle Shock.”

Mod Med is an exciting new cuisine that represents a modern interpretation of foods and flavors traditionally associated with Mediterranean countries like Italy, Spain, France, Greece and Morocco.

These events are part of a series of monthly wine dinners hosted at both Carmel Café and Wine Bar locations.  For information about Carmel Café & Wine Bar, including upcoming wine dinners and tasting events, go to www.carmelcafe.com.
