CABA Adds 88 Members In One Month

November was a stellar year for the Carrollwood Area Business Association

A membership drive held by the Carrollwood Area Business Association paid off for the organization when they announced recently that 88 new members joined in November.

"Our membership came together to make the association bigger and better. We’ve certainly achieved both goals," said Robert Cunningham of ADT Security and Board Director of Membership. "The level of attendance, excitement and business getting done at our meetings is at an all time high."

Cunningham, along with CABA President Lea Orchard of Great Clips and CABA Executive Director Maria Patterson facilitated the membership drive.

The 2-day pirate-themed membership drive titled, "We Arrgh Building Our Membership," was held on Nov. 14-15. The drive was held at both Carrollwood's Ocean Blue Sushi Bar located at 13031 N. Dale Mabry Highway and throughout the community.

"This membership drive was such a huge success, both for existing members and new members as well. It is so valuable to have a large group of dynamic , enthusiastic business owners and decision makers in one Business Professional Association, that is CABA," said Lea Orchard, CABA President. "Grand prizes were given to individuals and teams that participated in this historic CABA event. "

With the new members, CABA has almost 500 business representatives in their ranks. The organization, which is 27 years old, focuses on helping businesses make a name for themselves in the community, helping promote relationships and referrals, supporting through technology and numerous other weekly networking events.

"The greater Tampa area is network heavy, and we are encouraged that business owners and representatives see the value of CABA and potential for their business being a part of it," said CABA Executive Director Maria Patterson. "Our business members not only want to see their revenue increase, but they truly want to be a part of this community."
