Whole Foods To Provide 300 Free School Lunches

The lunches will be available on Sunday, Aug. 18.

Whole Foods Carrollwood wants to make the first day of school transition easier for kids and their parents.

To do that, the store will pass out 300 school lunches at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 18. The lunches will include cubed turkey with baby carrots, choice of fruit, Pretzel Crisps, KIND Bars, Gogo Squeez (applesauce pouch) and organic juice boxes. The back-to-school lunches are available while supplies last and limited one per child, according to a press release from the store.

The free lunches are a part of the store's Back To School Bash, which will be held on Sunday from 1p.m. to 3 p.m. The bash will include free kids games, samplings and gardening tips for kids.
