Life Enrichment Center Offering New Classes That Include Fitness, Crocheting and Astronomy

Center registering for classes now

The Life Enrichment Center is now registering for three new classes.

The first class is titled "G.I.F.T.," or "Get Into Fitness Today." The class will be held over a six-week period, and is designed to help adults lose weight and become healthier. Body mass index will be measured weekly, and attendees will learn the tenets of good nutrition.

The class will meet on Thursdays from April 7 through May 12, from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. The cost is $24.

The second class is called "Knitting and Crocheting." The class will also be held over six weeks, and is open to beginners and experienced adults. The class will be held on Wednesdays from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. from April 6 through May 11. The cost is $36.

Students should bring a set of size 8 knitting needles and two skeins of four-ply yarn.

The third class is called "View the Night Sky." The class will allow students to learn how to navigate the night sky and find constellations, and use a telescope. The class is $10 for members and $15 for non-members. Annual membership to the center starts at $30. The class will be held from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on April 13.
