Five Things To Know This Weekend, from Improv Show to Theater Auditions

Here are five things you can do or learn more about this weekend:

  • Abbey's is hosting a Customer Appreciation event on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Find out more .
  • The comedy improv troupe Nine and Numb is having a family-friendly “Pre-Summer Comedy Slammajamma” at Carrollwood Playhouse,
    4333 Gunn Highway. The show starts at 7pm on Friday and Saturday and costs $10.
  • Co-sponsored by Operation Helping Hand, Carrollwood Cultural Center is currently displaying Star Spangled Art. All artwork is created by current and past patients of James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital. The exhibit runs through May. Details here.
  • On Saturday at 9:30 p.m., Tampa Pitcher Show will play host to Nashville recording artist James Taylor Curtis and Silver Eagle Band. Admission is $10.
  • Finally, if you are teen into the author Colleen Houck’s Tiger’s Curse book series, head to Barnes & Noble to meet the author at 1:00 p.m on Saturday.
