Independent Day School's Community School of the Arts Stages "Into the Woods"

Take a trip Into the Woods with The Community School of the Arts at Independent Day School-Corbett Campus.

Student actors will stage the Stephen Sondheim Tony Award-winning musical on Thursday, Friday and Saturday May 5-7. Performances each day take place at 7 p.m. in the Blackbox Theater at Howard W. Blake School of the Arts, 1701 North  Blvd, Tampa. There is also a 2 p.m. show on Saturday. Tickets are $10 and are available from cast members, in the IDS music room, or at the performance.

The show is three hours in length and includes a 15-minute intermission.

Under the direction of Seth Travaglino, the performances are presented by the Community School of the Arts’ high school cast and feature students in ninth through 12th grades from schools around Hillsborough County. IDS alumni who are cast members are: Scott Donovan, Olivia Hamilton, Brooke Pasch, Caroline Poole, Gabby Shaikh and Cole Shaler.

 The Community School of the Arts-Independent Day School provides opportunities for creative growth for children, students and adults. The school offers a dynamic curriculum featuring programs ranging from guided exploration for young children, to traditional classes and lessons in music, visual arts, dance and theatre, innovative seminars, and numerous performing opportunities.
