Last year’s Art In Black and White exhibition turned out to be the unexpected hit of the 2010 season.  A tradition was born.  This year Art in Black and White, a judged and juried fine art exhibition, will again delight the crowds at the Carrollwood Cultural Center, located at 4537 Lowell Road in Tampa. The exhibition is open to all artistic media and any artist residing in the Tampa Bay area.  Submissions must be created using only black, white, and shades of gray.  Both two-dimensional and three-dimensional art will be featured.

Art patrons who viewed the show last year were surprised to see how much “color” a black and white art show could lend to the Center.  The overall effect of the Black and White show is very striking and dynamic.

A reception will be held in the Main Theater of the Center on April 8, 2011 from 6 to 9pm.  The reception is free to attend.  Artists will be present to discuss their works.

The Gallery at Carrollwood Cultural Center is open for viewing each weekday during regular business hours.  Attendance is free and open to the public.  In addition to hosting an array of shows and exhibits throughout the year, the lobby of the Center showcases a monthly Featured Artist.  Additionally, the Gallery sponsors free art lectures by prominent local and visiting artists periodically throughout the year.
